News Race's Eddie Izzard to Appear on "United States of Tara" Tony Award nominee Eddie Izzard, recently seen on Broadway in David Mamet's Race, will have a recurring role on the upcoming third season of "The United States of Tara," according to zap2it.com.

Izzard will play a psychology professor who becomes intrigued by the case of multiple-personality housewife Tara (played by Emmy winner and Tony and Oscar nominee Toni Collette).

Izzard earned a Tony Award nomination for his Broadway debut in Joe Egg and an Olivier Award nomination for Eddie Izzard: Live at the Ambassadors. He appeared in David Mamet's Cryptogram in London and is known for his provocative stand-up comedy.
