Drama Desk Award winner Rachel York (Victor/Victoria, City of Angels) and Tony nominee Tom Wopat (Annie Get Your Gun, A Catered Affair) will star in the Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston's production of the Tony-winning American musical 42nd Street, which will be presented August 3–13.
York will play Dorothy Brock with Wopat as Julian Marsh. They will be joined by James Darrah as Billy and Mara Cecilia as Peggy Sawyer.
The timeless classic about a bright-eyed chorus girl who gets her big break on Broadway will be directed and choreographed by Eileen Grace. Grace and co-choreographer Susan Chebookjian will recreate Gower Champion’s original choreography for the production. The creative team also includes producing artistic director Robert J. Eagle and musical director and conductor Daniel Rodriguez.
The musical is chock-full of Broadway standards, including “You’re Getting To Be A Habit With Me,” “Dames,” “We’re in the Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off to Buffalo,” and “Forty-Second Street.”
