Amas Musical Theatre in association with Chase Mishkin will present the four free readings of Me and Miss Monroe, which are scheduled for April 21 (3 PM), April 22 (12 PM and 4 PM) and April 23 (1 PM) at the Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Joining York (City of Angels, Putting It Together, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels) will be Tony winner Michael Rupert (Legally Blonde, Falsettos), Tony nominee J. Robert Spencer (Next to Normal, Jersey Boys), Jordan Firstman, Will Blum (Grease, 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Liz Byrne, Joy Hermalyn (Fiddler on the Roof), Ilana Levine (Wrong Mountain, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown) Stephanie Martignetti (Mary Poppins, A Chorus Line), Manna Nichols (Frog Kiss), Weston Wells Olson, Kevin Pariseau (Legally Blonde), Hayley Podschun (Pal Joey, Hairspray), Nathaniel Stampley (The Lion King, The Color Purple), Will Taylor (A Chorus Line, 42nd Street) and Remy Zaken (Spring Awakening).

Tony winner John Rando (Urinetown) will direct with choreography by Christopher Gatelli (Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, South Pacific), costumes by William Ivey Long (Catch Me If You Can, Grey Gardens), set design by Alexander Dodge (Present Laughter), lighting design by Ken Billington (The Scottsboro Boys, Looped), sound design by Carl Casella (Baby, It's You; Xanadu) and music direction by Eric Stern (Shrek, Xanadu).

According to Amas, "Me and Miss Monroe tells the story of Steven, a 16-year-old Bronx High School of Science student in 1962 who inadvertently meets and befriends Marilyn Monroe at the carousel in Central Park as he works on his project for a national science fair." Leipart penned book and lyrics; the score is by Goldstein.
