News Radnor, Silverman, Castellaneta and Aaron to Star in LATW's Broadway Bound Casting has been announced for the upcoming Los Angeles Theatre Works production of Neil Simon's Broadway Bound.

Part of the company's "The Play's The Thing" radio theatre series, performances play July 9-13 at the Skirball Cultural Center and are recorded for future broadcast.

The Simon comedy will feature the talents of Josh Radnor ("How I Met Your Mother") as Simon's alter-ego, Eugene Morris Jerome; and Jonathan Silverman, who played Eugene in the "Brighton Beach Memoirs" film and on Broadway and TV in Broadway Bound, as Eugene's older brother Stan; with Dan Castellaneta ("The Simpsons"), Caroline Aaron ("Curb Your Enthusiasm") and Alan Mandell ("Trying" at the Colony Theatre). Jenny Sullivan directs.

L.A. Theatre Works has previously recorded the first and second plays in Simon's "Eugene Trilogy," Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues.

In Broadway Bound, press notes state, "Eugene returns home from World War II and pairs up with his older brother Stanley (based on Simon's brother and early writing partner Mel) to break into the world of professional comedy writing. Inspiration strikes when they aim their sights on their dysfunctional family — and then the network broadcasts it nationwide!"

LATW's nationally syndicated radio show "The Play's The Thing" series can be heard in cities across the country, including Boston, Seattle, Albuquerque as well as on XM Satellite radio. The two-hour radio broadcasts include special backstage features and interviews with actors, playwrights and directors. The L.A.
