News Ragtime's Bohmer to Host Column Awards Ron Bohmer, recently on Broadway in the revival of Ragtime, will co-host the 2010 Column Theatre Awards Gala March 8 in Dallas, TX.

Bohmer will also perform at the 11th annual event, the only awards ceremony that honors excellence in theatre throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The awards gala will be held at the Carpenter Hall Theater at the Irving Arts Center, 3333 N. MacArthur Blvd. in Irving, TX. Cocktail reception begins at 6 PM with the awards ceremony scheduled to commence at 7 PM.

The ceremony benefits Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

Ron Bohmer starred on Broadway in Ragtime, The Woman in White, The Scarlet Pimpernel, Les Misérables and Fiddler on the Roof. He portrayed Joe Gillis in the first national tour of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Sunset Boulevard; the title role in Lloyd Webber's The Phantom of the Opera in Los Angeles, Chicago and Washington, DC; and Alex in the Canadian company and U.S. national tour of another Lloyd Webber work, Aspects of Love. Television audiences have seen the singer-actor on "As the World Turns" and "Ryan's Hope," and his solo recordings include "Ron Bohmer — everyman" and "Ron Bohmer: Another Life."
