Former Ragtime actor Peter Friedman will guest star on the May 8 broadcast of NBC-TV's "Law & Order."

In an episode entitled "Attorney Client," Friedman will portray defense lawyer Harold Jensen, whose wife is murdered behind the tinted windows of their car. Series regulars Jerry Orbach, Jesse L. Martin, Elisabeth Rohm, S. Epatha Merkerson, Dianne Wiest and Sam Waterston head the cast of the award winning series, which will also feature guest appearances by Randy Graff, Helen Carey, Lord Jamar, Annie Parisse and Victor Verhaeghe. "Law & Order" airs on NBC at 10 PM ET.

Peter Friedman received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actor in a Musical for his role as Tateh in the New York production of Ragtime. His other Broadway credits include roles in The Heidi Chronicles, The Tenth Man, Execution of Justice and the City Center Encores! production of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever; Off-Broadway audiences have seen his work in A Soldier's Play, The Common Pursuit and The Loman Family Picnic. Friedman's TV and film credits include "Single White Female," "The Seventh Sign," "Blink" and "Brooklyn Bridge."
