Steggert will play the role of Stu; the young actor was previously involved in developmental readings of the musical.

Performances at the Off-Broadway venue are scheduled for Feb. 16-March 21. Opening night will be Feb. 24.

Igor Goldin will direct. The production will also feature music direction by John Baxindine, choreography by Jeffry Denman and set design by Ray Klausen. Additional casting and creative team members will be announced soon.

Yank! The New Musical has music by Joseph Zellnik with book and lyrics by David Zellnik. The musical, according to the York, "tells the story of Stu, a scared Midwestern kid who gets drafted for World War II in 1943, and becomes a photographer for Yank Magazine, the journal 'for and by the servicemen.' Yank! has a score that pays homage to the 1940s and explores what it means to be a man, and what it is to fall in love and struggle."

The show is produced by arrangement with Pamela Koslow, Maren Berthelsen, and Stuart Wilk in association with Matt Schicker.

Tickets are available by calling (212) 935-5820 or by visiting www.yorktheatre.org. All performances will be at the company's home at The Theatre at Saint Peter's (54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).
