News Ralph Fiennes' "Coriolanus" to Premiere at Berlin Film Festival Tony Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated actor Ralph Fiennes' film adaptation of William Shakespeare's war tragedy Coriolanus will premiere in February 2011 at the Berlin Film Festival, according to the London paper The Guardian.

Fiennes directs the film and stars in the title role of a Roman general who allies with his enemy, Tullus Aufidius (Gerard Butler), for revenge. Vanessa Redgrave plays Coriolanus' mother, Volumnia.

Other previously reported cast members include Brian Cox, Jessica Chastain, John Kani, Paul Jesson, James Nesbitt, Ashraf Barhom and Lubna Azabal. The screenplay is by John Logan, the Tony Award-winning playwright of Red.

The contemporary adaptation was filmed in Serbia.

Fiennes is a Tony Award winner for Hamlet and an Academy Award nominee for "Schindler's List" and "The English Patient." Other New York stage credits include Faith Healer and Richard II.

The Berlin Film Festival will run from Feb. 10-20, 2011.
