News Ralph Fiennes, Vanessa Redgrave, Olivia Colman Among Winners of British Independent Film Awards The 14th Moët British Independent Film Awards, hosted by actor and comedian Chris O’Dowd, were held at Old Billingsgate in London Dec. 4. Recipients included Tony Award winners Ralph Fiennes and Vanessa Redgrave.

As previously announced, Fiennes (Hamlet) was honored with the Richard Harris Award for outstanding contribution by an actor to British film. Redgrave (Long Day's Journey Into Night) was awarded Best Supporting Actress for her performance in "Coriolanus," which also starred and was directed by Fiennes. Olivia Colman, who has been cast in the upcoming West End production of Noel Coward's Hay Fever, was named Best Actress for her work in "Tyrannosaurus," which also took home the award for Best British Independent Film and Best Debut Director (Paddy Considine).

Other winners included Best Actor Michael Fassbender ("Shame"), Best Supporting Actor Michael Smiley ("Kill List"), and Best Director Lynne Ramsey ("We Need To Talk About Kevin").
