Entitled Anthony Rapp: Without You — An Evening of Love, Loss and the Musical Rent, the 7 and 10 PM performances will also feature Rapp's band Albinokid. This "rock n' roll memoir," according to press notes, is "freely based on [Rapp's] best selling book" of the same name.

Rapp created the role of Mark Cohen in the Broadway and London productions of Rent. His other theatrical credits include Hedwig and the Angry Inch; You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Precious Sons; Six Degrees of Separation; Bright Lights, Big City; Raised in Captivity; Trafficking in Broken Hearts; Youth Is Wasted; Sophistry; and The Destiny of Me. Rapp's film credits feature roles in "A Beautiful Mind," "Adventures in Babysitting," "School Ties," "Dazed and Confused" and "Six Degrees of Separation." He was also seen in Chris Columbus' "Rent" film.

"Without You: A Memoir of Love, Loss, and the Musical Rent," published on the Simon & Schuster label, begins with Rapp's audition for the original workshop of the late Jonathan Larson's Rent and continues through the show's chaotic journey to Broadway and the phenomenal success the musical — about a group of friends in New York’s East Village — achieved. Rapp candidly discusses his life at the time, including his relationships with several boyfriends as well as his mother's battle with cancer and her ultimate, heartbreaking death.

Ars Nova is located in Manhattan at 511 West 54th Street. Tickets, priced $20, can be purchased by calling (212) 868-4444 or by visiting www.SmartTix.com.
