News Rare Barbara Cook CD Re-released Oct. 5 DRG Records will release "Sings From the Heart," a rare recording by Tony Award winner Barbara Cook, on Oct. 5.

"Sings from the Heart," originally recorded in 1959, features Cook interpreting the works of Rodgers and Hart. The re-release boasts new liner notes penned by Cook herself. The complete track listing for "Sings From the Heart" follows:

Barbara Cook has starred on Broadway in Flahooley, Candide, The Gay Life, The Music Man and She Loves Me. She received a Best Featured Actress in a Musical Tony Award for her performance in The Music Man, and her one-woman show, Mostly Sondheim, was nominated for a Tony in the Best Special Theatrical Event category. Cook was most recently on the New York stage in her newest show, Barbara Cook's Broadway. Both Mostly Sondheim and Barbara Cook's Broadway were recorded for DRG.
