Sarah Cameron Sunde directs the solo show written and performed by Dickey. Previews began June 4 and the work officially opened June 10. The run, originally slated to play through June 28, now adds two weeks of performances. Rattlestick presents Amish Project in association with Nora Productions.
"A fictional exploration of true events," as billed by show notes, "The Amish Project is the story of a schoolhouse shooting in an Amish community, and the path of forgiveness and compassion forged in its wake." The show was previously seen in the 2008 New York International Fringe Festival and workshopped at the Cherry Lane Theatre.
The design team includes Lauren Helpern (sets and costumes), Nicole Pearce (lights) and Jill BC DuBoff (sound). Kelly Shaffer serves as production stage manager.
Rattlestick's recent season included Craig Wright's Lady, Stephen Belber's Geometry of Fire and Sheila Callaghan's That Pretty Pretty; or, The Rape Play.
