RCA Victor is in a romantic mood Jan. 25 with the release of "Broadway in Love," a new 14-track CD of love songs culled (mostly) from musical theatre recordings on the RCA label. The collection, with notes by Bill Rosenfield, opens with a previously unreleased recording of Audra McDonald singing Herb Nacio Brown and Arthur Freed's "You Were Meant For Me," famous in "Singin' in the Rain" but recorded here for the film, "The Object of My Affection."

Other songs include "It Only Takes a Moment" (from the original cast recording of Hello, Dolly!), "All the Wasted Time" (from the OCR of Parade), "Something Good" (OCR of The Sound of Music revival), "Not a Day Goes By" (Bernadette Peters, singing on "Sondheim -- A Celebration at Carnegie Hall"), "Marry Me/A Quiet Thing" (OCR of And the World Goes 'Round), "The Human Heart" (OCR of Once on This Island), "Love Has Come of Age" (from the first concept album of Jekyll & Hyde), "She Wasn't You" (OCR of On a Clear Day You Can See Forever), "First You Dream" (OCR of Steel Pier), "Sailing" (OCR of A New Brain), "Still" (OCR of Titanic), "I'd Give It All For You" (from OCR of Off-Broadway's Songs for a New World) and "In Whatever Time We Have" (from the cast recording of the Paper Mill Playhouse staging of Children of Eden).
