RCA Victor has the "Only Broadway CD You'll Ever Need" -- unless you prefer the "Fascinating Rhythm" of George Gershwin. Oct. 27 RCA releases both the Broadway compilation album, "The Only Broadway CD You'll Ever Need", and the Gershwin centennial album, "Fascinating Rhythm: The Broadway Gershwin 1919-1934."

"The Only Broadway CD" brings together tunes from Showboat to Ragtime, encompassing the history of the American musical from Kern and Hammerstein to Flaherty and Ahrens, from Ethel Merman and Zero Mostel to Alan Cumming and Bebe Neuwirth.

The CD features "Old Man River," "Anything Goes," "Oh, What a Beautiful Mornin'," "You'll Never Walk Alone," "There's No Business Like Show Business," "Almost Like Being in Love," "Luck Be a Lady," "Shall We Dance?," "America," "Everything's Coming Up Roses," "Rosie," "Consider Yourself," "Hello, Dolly!," "If I Were a Rich Man," "The Impossible Dream," "Money," "All That Jazz," "Lullaby of Broadway," "The Proposal/The Night Was Alive" and ""Wheels of a Dream."

George Gershwin composed for over 50 Broadway and London productions from 1916 to 1935, producing Oh! Kay!, Strike Up the Band, Funny Face, and Lady Be Good among others. "Fascinating Rhythm" features vintage recordings by such classic artists as Gertrude Lawrence, Duke Ellington, Paul Whiteman, and Johnny Johnson which have been transferred from 78s to CD by Mike Sobol. Harry Coster served as restoration sound engineer.

Songs on the CD include "Swanee," "I'll Build a Stairway to Paradise," "Fascinating Rhythm," "Oh! Lady Be Good!," 'S Wonderful," " Someone to Watch Over Me," "My One and Only," and "The Man I Love."
