Second Stage's revival of Dying City, written and directed by Christopher Shinn, opened June 3 in the company's Off-Broadway theatre, starring Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Colin Woodell. Set in a sparse Manhattan apartment, the two-hander explores the human fallout of global events, including the Iraq War and 9/11. The play, which received its world premiere at London's Royal Court in 2006, is the story of a young widow who receives an unexpected visit from the twin brother of her deceased husband.
