Less than a week after hosting the 71st Tony Awards, Tony and Oscar winner Kevin Spacey returned to the New York stage June 15 for a two-night engagement of the solo show Clarence Darrow. The Thea Sharrock-helmed staging concludes June 16 at Arthur Ashe Stadium in Flushing.

Spacey reprises his performance in the David W. Rintels show, having performed it at the Old Vic in 2014 and during an encore engagement in 2015. He also played the American Civil Liberties attorney in the 1991 TV movie Darrow and in Inherit the Wind at the Old Vic in 2009.

The 90-minute play charts the life and career of the lawyer, highlighting his most infamous trials. The play premiered on Broadway in 1974 with Henry Fonda in the title role.
