Octet, the world-premiere a cappella musical by Tony-nominated Great Comet writer Dave Malloy, officially opened May 19 at the Signature Theatre Off-Broadway.
Annie Tippe directs the production that has a libretto inspired by internet comment boards, scientific debates, religious texts, and Sufi poetry. Octet explores addiction and nihilism within the messy context of 21st-century technology.
