The world premiere of Douglas Carter Beane's musical runs through August 6 at Dallas Theater Center.

Dallas Theater Center’s Hood: The Robin Hood Musical Adventure officially opened July 7 at the Dee and Charles Wyly Theatre. The folk-infused twist on the ancient legend of Robin Hood stars Broadway’s Nick Bailey as Robin Hood alongside Alysha Umphress (On the Town) as Meg and Ashley Park (Sunday in the Park with George) as Marian.

The production, which is eyeing a potential Broadway transfer, will run through August 6.

The show is written and directed by five-time Tony-nominated playwright Douglas Carter Beane and features a score by Lewis Flinn.

Performances began June 29 at DTC, which had received the 2017 Regional Theatre Tony Award earlier that month.
