Steppenwolf Theatre celebrated the opening of Tracy Letts’ The Minutes November 19, a new political comedy from the Pulitzer Prize winner set to arrive on Broadway in the spring. Performances began in Chicago November 9 and have been extended through January 7, 2018.

The Minutes is a play about small-town politics and real-world power. Anna D. Shapiro directs a cast made up of Kevin Anderson, Ian Barford, Francis Guinan, James Vincent Meredith, Sally Murphy, William Petersen, Brittany Burch, Cliff Chamberlain, Danny McCarthy, Penny Slusher, and Jeff Still. A cast for the Broadway engagement has not yet been announced.

As previously announced, the show will transfer to a yet-to-be announced theatre on Broadway in 2018 following its world premiere in Chicago.
