As the highly anticipated remake of A Star Is Born premieres at the Venice International Film Festival, critics have begun to weigh in on the new movie musical.

The film marks the directorial debut of Oscar and Tony nominee Bradley Cooper, who also stars alongside Lady Gaga. The country-rock soundtrack features several original songs, as well as "Over the Rainbow"—a tune made famous by the star of a previous A Star Is Born.
