Keeling will play Jack Jerome/Charles Prince in the May 21 and 22 by-invitation-only readings. Those characters are described as the "most eligible bachelor and 'Prince Charming of New York.'" Dreamweavers features music and lyrics by Artie Singer and lyrics by Marjorie Baderak with additional lyrics by Sherry Love Gressen and Lisa Russo Gressen. The Gressens also wrote the musical's book. Jamibeth Margolis directs the readings with musical direction and arrangements by Michael Thomas Murray.

The musical, according to press notes, is set in "1950s New York City at a whimsical charm and modeling school. It is a feel-good show with heart whose themes explore the power and importance of believing in yourself and believing in your dreams."

Derek Keeling is a native of Charleston, WV, and played the role of Danny in a few productions of Grease, including a 2004-2005 tour.
