News Reading of New Musical Becoming Tennessee to Feature Bryan Batt, Jerry Dixon, Brian Charles Rooney The Directors Company in association with Dale Joan Young will present a staged reading of the new musical Becoming Tennessee March 2 at the Baruch Performing Arts Center.

Directed by Michael Parva, the cast will include Bryan Batt, Jerry Dixon, Harriet D. Foy and Brian Charles Rooney.

The new musical features book and lyrics by Michael Aman and music by Clint Edwards.   Steven Ray Watkins is the musical director.

Becoming Tennessee, according to press notes, is an "original new musical about the early life and career of Tennessee Williams as he faces his blue devils in New Orleans’ steamy French Quarter in 1939."
