News Reading of Tennessee Williams' Camino Real Offered Dec. 3 Makor, a program of the 92nd Street Y, presents a reading of Tennessee Williams' surreal play, Camino Real, Dec. 3.

Stephan Morrow directs the one-night-only reading, which is set to begin at 7 PM. Betsy von Furstenberg and Larry Block are scheduled to be part of the cast. Challenging, poetic and thick with images, Camino Real (1953) mixes literary and cultural types — Casanova, Don Quixote, Byron, Shelley, Kilroy — in Williams' strange world of Mexican plazas and hotels at the edge of the world, a place he said was pronounced "caminno reel."

Makor is located in Manhattan at 35 West 67th Street, between Central Park West and Columbus Avenue. There is a $15 charge; call (212) 601-1000 for reservations. Visit www.makor.org for more information.
