News   Reading of Two Boys in a Bed — with David Drake — to Benefit Rattlestick Theatre

A tenth anniversary reading of Two Boys in a Bed on a Cold Winter's Night will benefit The Rattlestick Theatre.

Readings of the James Edwin Parker play, which debuted at the Rattlestick in 1994-95, will be presented Feb. 7 and 8 at 8 PM. The cast features Obie Award winner David Drake, Asa Somers and Noam Rubin. Two Boys in a Bed on a Cold Winter's Night, according to production notes, "chronicles a one-night stand that forever changes the lives of two gay men in the West Village."

An actor, writer and director, David Drake has appeared in The Santaland Diaries, That Woman: Rebecca West Remembers, Pageant, End of the World Party, A Language of Their Own, The Boys in the Band and Vampire Lesbians of Sodom. His self-written, one-man shows include Son of Drakula and The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me (Obie Award). Drake also writes a monthly cabaret column, "The Cabaret Beat," for Playbill Magazine.

There is a suggested donation of $30. The Rattlestick Theatre is located at 224 Waverly Place, just off Seventh Avenue. For reservations or more information, call (212) 627-2556.
