News Reading Under the Influence, Starring Barbara Walsh, Extends Off-Broadway Run The Off-Broadway run of Reading Under the Influence: The "Real" Westchester Women's Book Club, which officially opened April 16 following previews that began April 6 at Union Square's DR2, has been extended by two weeks.

Falsettos Tony nominee Barbara Walsh heads the cast of the new production, which had been scheduled to run through May 15. Due to ticket demand, performances will now continue through May 29. Wendy C. Goldberg directs Tony Glazer's play.

The cast also features Joanna Bayless, Summer Crockett Moore, Ashley Austin Morris, Maria-Christina Oliveras and Jeremy Webb.

In Reading Under the Influence, press notes state, "the wine hits the fan as the women of the Westchester Book Club gather to discuss their current required reading, 'The Homeless Dogs of Egypt.' During their chardonnay-fueled discussion, they find out that the rights to their book club have been sold to a reality TV production company."

The creative team includes Alexander Dodge (set designer), Raquel Davis (lighting designer), Anne Kennedy (costume designer), Matt Hubbs (sound designer) and Barb Kielhofer (props).

Show times are Tuesday-Friday at 8 PM, Saturday at 2 PM and 8 PM and Sunday at 3 PM. Running time is 90 minutes.
