Variety reports that Oliver Parker is directing the film, which will arrive in theatres in fall 2009. Toby Finlay is penning the screenplay based on Wilde's Faustian novel in which a young man barters to remain eternally youthful. Shaw, who recently appeared in the BAM presentation of Happy Days, stars alongside Hall, who will be seen in the upcoming film of "Frost/Nixon" as well as in the BAM stagings of The Cherry Orchard and A Winter's Tale, the latter stage projects under the direction of Sam Mendes.
"Dorian Gray" also features Ben Barnes in the title role with Colin Firth, Ben Chaplin, Emilia Fox, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Maryam D'Abo, Pip Torrens, Douglas Henshall, Caroline Goodall, Michael Culkin, Johnny Harris and Max Irons.
