News Rebecca Luker, Adam Kantor, Julia Murney Will Be Among Faculty for American Songbook Project Workshop The American Songbook Project will present "The Art of Song Performance," a one-week summer workshop for high school students, July 10-15 in Manhattan at Shetler Studios, located at 244 West 54th Street.

The summer intensive will feature classes in all styles of song performance, including Broadway, cabaret, jazz, and contemporary rock songs.

Master classes will be taught by Rebecca Luker (Mary Poppins), Adam Kantor (Rent), Chelsea Krombach (Promises, Promises), Julia Murney (Wicked), Meredith Patterson (42nd Street), Michael James Scott (The Book of Mormon) and singer/songwriter Katie Thompson. Additional faculty includes Jen Bender (The Lion King), Judy Blazer (Titanic), Wendy Taucher (The Othello Project) and Sheri Sanders (Rock the Audition). Music directors are David J. Hahn, David Hancock Turner and Brett Schrier.

The Art of Song Performance is open to students ages 14-18; students of all vocal skill levels are encouraged to apply.
