News Rebecca Luker to Star in New Reddin Play Can't Let Go Off-Broadway, May 30-June 22 Rebecca Luker, the singer and actress who has spent much of her stage career in Broadway musicals, will star in a small Off-Broadway production of a new Keith Reddin play, Can't Let Go.

The play, a presentation of the young Keen Company, will run May 30 to June 22 at the East Village space, The Connelly Theatre, a pocket proscenium stage tucked in a school on E. 4th Street between Avenues A and B. Luker's Broadway credits include The Secret Garden—which first made her reputation as a wholesome female lead with a crystalline soprano—Show Boat, The Sound of Music and The Music Man. She has also lent her voice to many concerts. Her straight play credits are relatively few, making Can't Let Go a distinct change of pace for the two-time Tony nominee.

The drama concerns "a young woman trying to keep her life aligned in an office going slightly crazy." Also in the cast are Cheyenne Casebier, Glenn Fleshler, Brian Hutchinson and Greg Stuhr. Carl Forsman directs.

The Keen Company has had success in the past attracting name actors to its productions. It's second outing, the New York premiere of Conor McPherson's The Good Thief, starred Brian d'Arcy James.
