The acclaimed actor joins the previously announced Seth Green, Joan Cusack, Dan Fogler, Tom Everett Scott and Mindy Sterling. Simon Wells will direct the film, an adaptation of the Berkeley Breathed novel. The screenplay was penned by Simon and Wendy Wells.
Zemeckis, Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey are producing; Steven J. Boyd will executive produce.
On Broadway Kevin Cahoon has been seen in The Who's Tommy, The Lion King, The Rocky Horror Show, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and The Wedding Singer. He recently created the role of Buster in the new Charles Strouse-Susan Birkenhead-Bob Martin musical Minsky's at The Ahmanson Theatre, and his other theatrical credits include The Foreigner (Lucille Lortel nomination), Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Wild Party and the City Center Encores! productions of Hair and Babes in Arms. Cahoon's screen credits include "Six Degrees," "The Royale," "Canterbury's Law," "Hope and Faith," "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion," "The Thing About My Folks," "Sudden Manhattan" and "One Night." He and his band, Ghetto Cowboy, have released a debut album titled "Doll."
