The play Fausto by the German writer Johann Goethe, which has been performing since October 15 in Madrid, has made history at the Abadia Theatre in Madrid. After a full month of performances, it has managed to sell out every single day.

Since the ancient Abadia in Fernandez de los Rios street in Madrid became a little theatre for 300 people, it has never before achieved total occupancy.

The play is directed by the German Gotz Loepelmann and stars Pedro Casablanc as Fausto, Beatriz Arguello y Ernesto Arias as Mephistopheles, Irene Visedo as Margaret and Pepe Viyuela as the Lord.

The version the Abadia theatre is offering us is based on the original version by Goethe, with slight modifications from the original work by the play's director.

Due to the production's great success, the final date of performances has not yet been arranged. Fausto runs Tuesday and Sunday at 7 P.M., and Wednesday and Saturday at 8:30 P.M. at the Abadia Theatre, 42th Fernandez de los Rios Street Madrid. For tickets call: 902383333( only from Spain)
