Rosemary Andress directs the 7 PM staged reading of Richard Brome's 1641 play that has been adapted by Stephen Jeffreys and features music and lyrics by Mickey Gallagher and Ian Drury. Musical direction is by Paul Edward Hope.
Red Bull notes describe the work as "a politically incorrect musical comedy about the homeless, with a little something to say about folks of all economic walks of life. The last play to be performed before the closing of the English theatres in 1642, and one of the first revivals of the Restoration."
The cast features Daniel Abeles, Gerry Bamman, Esther Barlow, Steve Boyer, Brenda Bush, David Chandler, Ryan Clardy, Gina Daniels, Carson Elrod, Glenn Fleshler, Mike Guango, Rebecca Hart, Paul Edward Hope, Jason Howard, Michael Izquierdo, Julie Jesneck, Tom Kelly, Marc LeVasseur, Grace McLean, Peter O'Connor, Ridley Parson, David Ross, Tarrantino Smith, Alexander Sovronsky, Lisa Velten Smith, Adam Toback, Patrick Vaill and Molly Ward.
Red Bull has also announced that Tony nominee Brian Murray will take part in the Revelation Reading of Ben Jonson's Volpone, under the direction of David Esbjornson, on May 25.
