Exploring such topics as former first lady Hilary Clinton and actress Demi Moore, her act is described as "a post-menopausal Lenny Bruce." Rivers workshopped material at The Duplex last year and previously played to Fez audiences to prep for gigs in London, Australia and Los Angeles. Her Duplex work was reportedly Broadway bound for sometime last season, but a show never materialized. Rivers made her Broadway stage debut in Fun City and later was a replacement player in Neil Simon's Broadway Bound. A stand-up comic making guest host appearances on "The Tonight Show," Rivers eventually hosted her own talk show, "The Joan Rivers Show." She received a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress for her turn in Sally Marr...and her escorts — which she also co-wrote.
Proceeds from the Fez shows will benefit the charities God's Love We Deliver and Guide Dogs for the Blind.
