News Red Clay Ramblers to Perform Highlights from Lone Star Love at West Bank Café Lone Star Love songwriters The Red Clay Ramblers will perform in concert at the West Bank Café in January.

Presented Jan. 10 and 11, 2009, the North Carolina-based band will join the Michael Wolff Trio and the Creole Jazz Serenaders for the concerts, part of the Association of Performing Arts Presenters Conference. Show times are 8 and 11 PM each evening. Composed of Jack Herrick, Clay Buckner, Chris Frank and Bland Simpson, the Red Clay Ramblers will offer selections from their "road-house band" repertoire in addition to highlights from Lone Star Love.

The Red Clay Ramblers earned a 1999 Special Tony Award for their work in the Broadway production of Fool Moon on its third return to the Great White Way. In addition to the score for the Off-Broadway production of Lone Star Love, the Ramblers have also penned music for Diamond Studs and Sam Shepard's A Lie of the Mind. They provided the score for Shepard's film "Far North" and appear in his 1994 feature film "Silent Tongue." Lone Star Love was to have made its Broadway premiere in the fall of 2007; however, the musical closed out of town in Seattle.
