News Red Star Alfred Molina to Head Cast of New "Law & Order" Series Veteran stage and screen star Alfred Molina, most recently on Broadway in the Tony-winning play Red, will head the cast of "Law & Order: Los Angeles," the latest spinoff of the NBC crime drama.

Molina, according to the Associated Press, will play Deputy District Attorney Morales. The cast will also feature Skeet Ulrich as a lead detective.

Although a premiere date has yet to be announced, creator-producer Dick Wolf said that the series will air Wednesday evenings on NBC at 10 PM ET. In a statement Wolf said, "I am thrilled that Fred is 'LOLA's' deputy D.A."

After a 20-year run, the original "Law & Order" ended its run last season.

Molina has also been seen on Broadway in Art and Fiddler on the Roof. His numerous screen credits include "Raiders of the Lost Ark," "Spider-Man 2" and "The Da Vinci Code."
