According to ATC, Human Error "concerns the aftermath of a plane crash, where two investigators from the National Transportation Safety Board find themselves surprisingly involved in the life of a survivor. As they search for the cause of the disaster, they find themselves drawn together in a romantic entanglement which leaves them both changed and shaken."

Keith Reddin returns to the Atlantic following the New York premiere production of his play Frame 312. Reddin was also featured in the inaugural Stage 2 one-act festival 10X20 in June 2006, for which he wrote the play Mutterliebe. His plays include Brutality of Fact, Life and Limb, Rum and Coke, Highest Standard of Living, Big Time, Nebraska, All the Rage, Almost Blue, Life During Wartime and The Innocents' Crusade. Tracy Brigden is the artistic director of City Theatre in Pittsburgh, where she most recently directed the world premiere of Keith Reddin's The Missionary Position. City Theatre is nationally known for its commitment to new works and contemporary voices.

Human Error marks Atlantic ensemble member Ray Anthony Thomas' sixth production with the company, where he also appeared in Edmond, The Lights, Distant Fires, Beginning of August and Force Continuum. He received an Obie Award for his performance in Volunteer Man, also directed by Tracy Brigden. Meg Gibson has appeared in numerous Off-Broadway productions including The Ride Down Mt. Morgan at the Public Theater and From Above at Playwrights Horizons. Tim Guinee has appeared in Suburbia at Lincoln Center and Twelfth Night and Richard II at the Public Theater.

The design team for Human Error includes scenic designer Luke Cantarella, costume designer Markus Henry, lighting designer Jeff Croiter and sound designer Eric Shim.

The drama is the final production of the 2006-2007 Atlantic Stage 2 season. The space houses two new Atlantic works per season, and is also a home for independent theatre companies. Kate Robin's play Anon. opened Jan. 31, and played a limited engagement through Feb. 18.

10X20, a one-act festival of plays commissioned by notable playwrights whose work Atlantic has produced over the past two decades, inaugurated the theatre in June 2006.

The 2007-2008 Atlantic Stage 2 season will feature world-premiere limited engagements of Three Short Plays by Ethan Coen by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Ethan Coen ("O Brother, Where Art Thou?," "Fargo"), directed by artistic director Neil Pepe; and Annie Baker's comedy Body Awareness, staged by Atlantic Theater Company founding member Karen Kohlhaas.

Human Error plays Tuesdays through Fridays at 7:30 PM, Saturdays at 2:30 PM & 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2:30 PM. All tickets are $35 and are available by calling Ticket Central at (212) 279-4200 (ticketcentral.com).
