Actors Vanessa Redgrave, Mandy Patinkin and Lee Grant and playwright Tony Kushner will perform in a July 20 benefit to aid refugees from the Yugoslavian province of Kosovo, which is fighting for independence. The event has been put together by Motrat Qiriazi, an Albanian-American women's organization and will take place at St. John the Divine Church in Manhattan. Redgrave, Patinkin, Grant and Kushner will participate in an evening of singing, music, monologues and poetry. As of July 16, the only specified song on the program was "In My Memory."
The event begins at 8 PM. Tickets are $50. All proceeds will go to purchasing food, clothing and medicine for the Kosovo refugees. The reservation number is (212) 662-2133.
