SAN DIEGO -- The cast has been set for Dakin Matthews' production of Henry V in the Old Globe's Lowell Davies Festival Theatre, which opens July 2 for a five-week run. Director Matthews most recently appeared as Falstaff in the Globe's 1999 production of The Merry Wives of Windsor, directed by Roger Rees.
Last seen at the Globe in the 1997 production of Dracula, Michael Eric Strickland will portray the title role in Henry V. He has appeared regionally in many Shakespeare plays, including Twelfth Night, Troilus and Cressida and As You Like It, among others.
Others in the cast are Gigi Bermingham, Bix Bettwy, Mark Capri, Kandis Chappell, J. Michael Flynn, Amanda Henkel, Ben Hopkin, Hal Landon, Jr., Henri Lubatti, Jonathan McMurty, Ted Matthews, Paul Vincent O'Connor, Tom Ramirez, Norman Snow, Don Lee Sparks and Scott Wood, among others.
