On the season finale of Fox's "American Idol," Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark's Reeve Carney performed "Rise Above" with the show's composers, Bono and The Edge.

A Spider-Man stunt double kicked off the performance by flying into Los Angeles' Nokia Theatre on the May 25 broadcast. Carney and the songwriting duo took the stage to perform the first act musical number before the 2011 "American Idol" was announced.

At the end of the night, Scotty McCreery was crowned the winner of the 10th season of "American Idol" following the record-shattering vote, which totaled over 122 million, the highest number in the show’s history. Lauren Alaina was this season's runner-up.

Meanwhile, in New York, Spider-Man Turn Off the Dark's Wednesday performances went on as planned with Matthew James Thomas performing the role of Peter Parker at the Foxwoods Theatre.
