Reichard Will Play His Summer Mix Tape at Joe's Pub Once More Sept. 8

News   Reichard Will Play His Summer Mix Tape at Joe's Pub Once More Sept. 8
Daniel Reichard — co-star of Broadway's Tony-winning musical Jersey Boys — will return with his solo to Joe's Pub Sept. 8.

He's been "invited back by popular demand," a release states, for an 11:45 PM performance at the downtown Manhattan venue.

Accompanied by a rock band, the singing actor will also be joined onstage by guest star singer-comedienne Wendy Ho (Logo's "NewNowNext").

Summer Mix Tape is billed as "a mini-tribute to the making of mix tapes which truly climaxed in America in the late 1980s. The songs are classic rock. The stories are nostalgic, humiliating reminiscences of a childhood spent being the eighth of nine children."

The band features Steve Gibb (guitar/music director), Kevin Dow (drums), Steve "Hoops" Snyder (keyboards), Ken Dow (bass), David Speers (horns) and back-up vocals by Amy Wren.

Reichard plays Bob Gaudio in Jersey Boys, a role he created at the La Jolla Playhouse. The actor made his New York debut in Forbidden Broadway: 20th Anniversary Celebration and then played Keith Haring in the Public Theater's Radiant Baby. He appeared Off-Broadway in The Thing About Men, and his regional credits include productions of Brigadoon and Blood Drive. Tickets ($15) to Summer Mix Tape at Joe's Pub, in the Public Theater at 425 Lafayette Street, are available by calling (212) 967-7555 or by visiting
