When asked to sum up summer in New York City, Anastasia’s Christy Altomare radiates as she says: “Heaven on Earth.” Sitting in Bryant Park on a warm Thursday afternoon, the leading lady has a sense of peace. With her sunglasses and ukulele in tow, the star is just as much at home in nature as when performing on the Broadhurst stage eight shows a week.

As the summer winds down, Altomare is clinging to what’s left of it, determined to spend as much time as she can soaking in the sun. “I’m not ready for summer to be over. I want this to keep going for a while,” she explains. When asked if she would ever move to another, warmer city like Los Angeles, she shakes her head. She laughs at the idea of leaving the magic of New York. "I want this exact kind of summer,” she says.
