News Remy Zaken, Barrett Wilbert Weed, Ali Ewoldt and More Will Split the Keys in NYMF Concert The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) will present Split the Keys, a concert of new music by theatrical composers Josh Freilich and Nikko Benson, July 22 at 9 PM at The Alice Griffin Jewel Box Theatre. Remy Zaken, Barrett Wilbert Weed and Ali Ewoldt are among the performers.

Previously presented in a sold-out weekend at William Finn's cabaret at Barrington Stage Company, the evening of new tunes will showcase the work of Freilich and Benson, alumni of the NYU Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.

Produced and directed by Shakina Nayfack (Barrington's Bashir Lazhar), Split the Keys will feature new lyrics by Finn (Falsettos, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Benson, Jake Brandman, Sam Chanse, Seth Christenfeld, Thirza Defoe, Ben Halstead, Sean Patterson, Jason Purdy, Janine Robledo, Liz Suggs and Sarah Underwood.

Performers include Ewoldt (Les Misérables, The Fantasticks), Zaken (Spring Awakening), Weed (Lysistrata Jones, Bare), Ben Roseberry (The Lion King), Mykal Kilgore (The Book of Mormon national tour), Luke Wygodny (American Idiot national tour), Mary Kate Morrissey (Hair national tour), Mike Longo (Hair national tour), Danyel Fulton (Hair national tour), Elisabeth Cernadas, Amanda Savan, Rachel Lee and Sammi Leigh Kramer.

NYMF is the flagship program of The National Music Theater Network. Now entering its tenth year, The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) exists to "revitalize musical theatre culture by discovering and promoting new musical theatre artists, producers and projects; nurturing a vibrant and innovative artistic community; and connecting one of America's greatest art forms with a diverse, contemporary audience."
