Composer Alan Menken, actors Renée Elise Goldsberry and Kelli O’Hara, and other Broadway stars are headed to Utah’s Brigham Young University to take part in its ambitious season-long Intersections performing arts season.

Renée Elise Goldsberry
September 8–9, 7:30 PM, de Jong Concert Hall: Winner of 2016 Tony Award for her performance as Angelica Schuyler in Hamilton, Goldsberry will share some of the songs and other musical experiences that have shaped her life and career.
An Evening with Jason Robert Brown and Kelli O’Hara
December 14, 7:30 PM de Jong Concert Hall: The composer of The Last Five Years, Songs for a New World, Parade, and Honeymoon in Vegas, Brown will perform with Kelli O'Hara, star of his musical The Bridges of Madison County, as well as The King and I, South Pacific, and The Light in the Piazza. Both are Tony Award winners.
Ailie Cohen Puppet Maker: The Secret Life of Suitcases
January 24, 2018, at 7 PM; January 25 at 10 AM and 6:30 PM; Janaury 26 at 6:30 PM, January 27 at 1 and 6:30 PM, Nelke Theatre: Ailie Cohen, one of Scotland’s leading puppet creators, and the U.K.’s Unicorn Theatre collaborate on this story of a man who goes on a global adventure with the help of his fantastical flying suitcase and the puppets it contains.
Out of Chaos: Macbeth
January 25–26, 2018, 8 PM; January 27, 2:30 and 8 PM, Pardoe Theatre: Two actors, Paul O’Mahony and Troels Hagen Findsen, play all 20 characters in this production of Shakespeare’s murderous classic.
A Whole New World of Alan Menken: An Evening of Stories and Songs
March 7–8, 2018, 7:30 PM, de Jong Concert Hall: The multiple Tony- and Oscar-winning composer will share the stories and songs behind a three-decade career of movies and musicals, including The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors, Aladdin, Newsies, Sister Act, and other shows.
Bravo Ballet! An Evening of Dance with Robert Fairchild, Megan Fairchild, Tiler Peck, and Friends
March 16–17, 2018, 7:30 PM, de Jong Concert Hall: Utah siblings Robert Fairchild (Tony Award nominee for An American in Paris) and Megan Fairchild, a principal dancer with New York City Ballet, curate and star in a program of ballets by choreographers of yesterday and today. Joined by ballerina Tiler Peck and friends from New York’s ballet companies.
Actors From The London Stage: The Taming of the Shrew
April 12–14, 2018, 7:30 PM, and April 14, 2 PM, Pardoe Theatre: Five British actors, bearing credits from the Royal Shakespeare Company, the Royal National Theatre of Great Britain, and Shakespeare’s Globe, play all the parts in Shakespeare’s comedy.
