Opera star Renée Fleming, who appeared on Broadway earlier this year in Carousel and continued to sing showtunes on her latest album, will headline the New York Philharmonic's New Year's Eve festivities. The December 31 concert will be broadcast live on PBS through Live From Lincoln Center.

Tony winner Kelli O'Hara, who sang alongside Fleming in the Met's The Merry Widow, will serve as guest host for the televised concert, conducted by the Philharmonic's new music director, Jaap van Zweden.

In 2019, Fleming will expand her theatrical repertoire by starring as Margaret Johnson in the London premiere of The Light in the Piazza, with Clueless' Dove Cameron as Clara. While her Tony-nominated turn in Carousel marked her Broadway musical debut, she previously appeared on the Great White Way in Living On Love.
