Oscar-nominated and Emmy Award-winning writer and actor Renée Taylor celebrates the official Off-Broadway opening of her autobiographical solo show My Life on a Diet, now in performances at Theatre at St. Clement’s. The show opens July 25 after beginning previews July 12.

My Life on a Diet is co-written with and originally directed by her late husband, Joseph Bologna. In the show, Taylor looks back on a lifetime of memorable roles in Hollywood and on Broadway, as well as a number of fad diets (including weight loss tips from Joan Crawford, Marilyn Monroe, Marlon Brando, and Cary Grant).

My Life on a Diet is playing a six-week limited engagement through August 19.

Taylor is known for her long-running role as Fran Fine’s mother, Sylvia, on The Nanny. On Broadway, she starred in a slate of comedies co-written with and also starring Bologna including If You Ever Leave Me...I'm Going with You!, It Had to Be You, and Lovers and Other Strangers. The couple also co-wrote, co-directed, and co-starred in the TV movie Bedrooms, the film adaptation of It Had to Be You, and the movie Love Is All There Is.

My Life on a Diet is produced by Julian Schlossberg. Tickets are available at MyLifeOnADietPlay.com or by calling Telecharge at (212) 239-6200.
