News Rent's Rapp to Join Driscoll for Matthew Shepard Benefit Oct. 8 Tony nominee Anthony Rapp will join singer songwriter Randi Driscoll for What Matters, a benefit concert for the Matthew Shepard Foundation at the Metropolitan Room on Oct. 8.

Driscoll, who penned the song "What Matters" following Shepard's murder in 1998, has raised over $40,000 for the Matthew Shepard Foundation. Driscoll's Metropolitan Room engagement is part of a tour in honor of the ten-year observance of Shepard's tragic death.

Rapp will join Driscoll for the 8 PM concert that will also feature David Gurland, Robbie Maitner, Josh Zuckerman and Dwayne Britton. All proceeds from the evening benefit the Matthew Shepard Foundation.

The Matthew Shepard Foundation, according to a press statement, "carries out Matthew's legacy by developing educational projects and activities that raise awareness of the issues involving discrimination and diversity. The Foundation's goal is to educate and replace hate with understanding, compassion, and acceptance." For more information visit MatthewShepard.org.
