News Report: Comedian Bill Maher to Bring Show to Broadway, April 29 F. Scott Fitzgerald's contention notwithstanding, American lives these days not only have second acts, they often have third or fourth ones.

Take, for instance, the career of comedian Bill Maher, former host of television's "Politically Incorrect," who was given the boot shortly after Sept. 11, 2001, for making comments which appeared to indicate that the World Trade Center terrorists had displayed more bravery than U.S. soldiers.

In another era, Maher never would have found work in show business again. But today, he gets a gig on Broadway. Maher will bring his new show, Victory Begins at Home, to the Virginia Theatre for a few weeks, beginning April 29, the New York Times reported. The show will fill in the gap between the recently closed Flower Drum Song and the upcoming Little Shop of Horrors.

Maher toured Victory last fall. The act will take on a variety of political issues, one of them no doubt being the current conflict in Iraq.
