“Under a Billy administration: Walmarts will be laminated and sealed; the mall parking lots will be full of nationalized SUV’s, seized and left there as an example; malls will be converted into museums where our grandchildren can come and remember how it was, and quietly wipe away a tear. It was an absurd time, back in 2003," reads an excerpt from a Reverend Billy sermon. The leader of The Church of Stop Shopping, Bill Talen performs as the clergyman and is backed by his Stop Shopping Gospel Choir. The campaign tour will reach the Burning Man festival in Nevada before moving on to Los Angeles, Kansas, Toronto, Ohio and New Hampshire (in time for next year's primary).

"Many campaign stops will take place inside Starbucks, Disney, Wal-Mart , Nike and other fetid community-wrecking sweatshop sin-zones," a release stated.

Tickets to the benefit at the St. Mark’s, at the corner of Tenth St. and Second Ave., and more information can be found at www.revbilly.com.
