There are many ways for women to get ahead in today's world, but Penny Hunter, the fictional creation of actress Ria Coyne, sees only one - marry aged millionaires, wait for them to die ( or help them on their way) and inherit their fortune. Hunter puts across her theory on how to best accomplish this in Grieving Cleavage, a theatrical multimedia seminar.

Grieving Cleavage premieres Jan. 11 at Masquers' Cabaret Theatre for a run through Feb. 15. Peter Evans (Easy Livin') directs.

In Grieving Cleavage, Coyne not only portrays Hunter, whose goal is to create professional widows, who "marry and bury for fun and profit," but a multitude of women Hunter is trying to help. During the piece, Hunter interacts with a video projection of various men and women she has encountered.

A stand-up comedienne, Coyne was named one of Playboy's Women of Comedy and appeared in the magazine five times. Her stage credits include The Taming of the Shrew and The Seven Year Itch.

Tickets are $10. Masquers' Cabaret Theatre is located at 8334 West 3rd Street. For reservations, call (323) 653-4848. — By Christine Ehren
