News Richard Chamberlain Set to Humbug and Hum in Scrooge — The Holiday Musical Stage and screen star Richard Chamberlain will star in the upcoming staging of Scrooge — The Holiday Musical, set to play as part of the Broadway In Connecticut series at the Oakdale Theatre in Wallingford, according to production spokespersons.

Slated to run through the holiday season from Nov. 30-Dec. 5, the production will be available to subscribers as an extra. Chamberlain last starred on Broadway in the revival of The Sound of Music and the national tour. Other stage credits include Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Night of the Iguana, Blithe Spirit, My Fair Lady. The actor is also known for his turns on television in "The Thorn Birds," "The Count of Monte Cristo," "Shogun," and "Dr. Kildare."

The Broadway in Connecticut series, sponsored by Yankee Gas, will include Grease starring Frankie Avalon (Nov 3-7, 2004), Evita (Feb 8-13, 2005), Wonderful Town (April 5-10, 2005) and Hairspray (Sept 13-18, 2005).
