Richard Fleeshman and Jenna Russell — each of whom respectively reprised their roles in Ghost and Sunday in the Park with George when those productions transferred from the West End to Broadway — will play Bobby Strong and Penelope Pennywise, respectively, with Jonathan Slinger, a star of the Royal Shakespeare Company — where his roles have included Hamlet and Richard III — as Officer Lockstock.
Cory English, who has previously appeared on the London stage in Chicago, Guys and Dolls and The Producers and whose Broadway credits include Chicago, Young Frankenstein, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, Hello Dolly!, Damn Yankees, Guys and Dolls and Gypsy, will play Old Man Strong and Hot Baldes Harry.
Also in the cast are Katie Bernstein (as Little Becky Two Shoes/Mrs. Millennium), Madeleine Harland (as Soupy Sue/Cladwell’s Secretary), Rosanna Hyland (as Hope Cladwell), Julie Jupp (as Old Woman/Josephine Strong), Mark Meadows (as Senator Fipp), Joel Montague (as Male Swing 1), Jo Napthine (as Female Swing 2) and Matthew Seadon-Young (Ras obbie The Stockfish/UGC Executive 1).
The role of Caldwell B. Cladwell and further casting will be announced shortly.
Jamie Lloyd will direct the musical, which has music and lyrics by Mark Hollmann and book and lyrics by Greg Kotis. It is produced by Julian Stoneman Associates and The Araca Group. It is designed by Soutra Gilmour, with choreography by Ann Yee, lighting design by Adam Silverman, sound design by Terry Jardine and Nick Lidster, orchestrations by Bruce Coughlin and musical supervision by Alan Williams.
